The Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) has denied stoppage of fishing at the Nile River due to phosphate vessel sinking in Qena.
The IDSC said it contacted the ministry of agriculture which confirmed that fishing went on as normal.
As much as 80 percent of Egypt's product of fish that amounts to 1.4 million tons a year come from fish farms while 20 percent come from the Nile, the northern lakes and seas.
On Egypt Sat 2, the IDSC said the satellite is still under control and works efficiently.
It was used in the air bombardment of the Daesh-controlled areas of Libya, the IDSC explained.
