Heavy rains lash Saudi, schools and colleges to remain closed

The weather forecast states heavy rains are likely to continue in Jeddah and Makkah until Thursday

Schools and universities will remain closed today due to the expected inclement weather conditions, education administrations and governorates of the Kingdom announced.

According to Saudi Press Agency reports, Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdullah Al-Oqaibi, director of education in Yanbu governorate, was quoted saying that classes will be suspended in Yanbu governorate schools.

While other education facilities that have suspended classes and lectures include the universities of Taif, Umm Al-Qura in Makkah, Jeddah and all their branches; as well as schools in Makkah, Taif, Al-Leeth, Jeddah, Khulais, and Rabigh governorates, among others.
