Cairo - MENA
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab chaired on Saturday a cabinet meeting on a national project to reclaim one million feddans.
The meeting took on the implementation of a phase of the project in Farafrah where 10,000 feddans have been cultivated.
As many as 3,000 feddans are also eyed in Ismailia, said the cabinet's spokesman Hossam el-Qawish.
The government's steps to provide water to the newly cultivated lands were also discussed.
