Egypt's Irrigation Minister Hosam Moghazi has opened the first phase of the Egyptian-funded water projects in South Sudan at a total cost of EGP1.5 million.
The projects include digging 30 drinking water wells.
Moghazi said four wells would be opened in January, while the other 26 wells would be opened over the coming year.
South Sudanese officials in Juba extended their thanks and gratitude to Egypt under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
