Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met on Sunday with irrigation, agriculture, planning, housing, interior and environment ministers as well as Port Said, Damietta, Dakahlia governorates to discuss urgent plan to rescue Lake Manzala.
They are to discuss efforts exerted on the ground to stop violations against the lake as well as the improvement of its water quality.
The premier also called for finalizing the government's programs and plans to develop the lake as soon as possible.
Lake Manzala is threatened by a number of problems including violations, security, pollution from garbage, sewage and factory waste.
