The governor of Alexandria said Monday that supplies of water and power, as well as sanitary services, have not been affected by the peaceful protests on June 30. Maher Babers told MENA he had an expanded meeting with heads of districts and executive officials to review preparations for the fasting month of Ramadan. Babers said that he personally inspected a number of bakeries and gas stations to make sure that bread and oil are available to citizens. All service authorities affiliated with Alexandria city hall have been working regularly since June 30.
