Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and of Sharjah Ladies Club, Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre (JRCC) is organising the inaugural Sharjah Bridal Fair (SBF) from May 19 – 22, which will feature a number of workshops and activities for brides and couples to be.
Starting from the first day, visitors can take part in several panel discussions over the course of SBF, including ‘Thriving Through the First Year of Marriage’ by Khalid Al Ameri and his wife Salama Mohamed, who will give real life insight into the challenges of marriage based on their own experience, and a seminar on ‘Planning Your Successful Marriage and Strengthening Relationship Skills’ presented by Dr. Souad Al Marzouqi, in collaboration with Family Development Centers of Sharjah.
There will also be a session titled ‘How much is too much to spend on a wedding?’, moderated by Dubai TV presenter, Rahaf Al Tawil, in participation with Hamid Ali, Family Development Centers of Sharjah representative, Mahra Hamdan wedding planner of Tibru Wedding, and Maitha Al Aryani, who will walk the audience through her experience in arranging her own wedding budget and expenses.
Additionally, Nathalie Basma, renowned life coach and nutritionist, will reveal pre-nuptial tips and tricks in her ‘Four-Week Bridal Body Prep Plan’ workshop,
On the third day, attendees can participate in a talk by Nisreen, Founder and the General Manager of Royal Beauty House on bridal hair styling tips, of Turkish origin and listen to wedding photography and videography advice by official events photographer and videographer sponsor, Pink Pepper Photography, the best photography studio choice for unforgettable memories.
On day four, Sarah Baldry, famed British international makeup artist with 25 years of experience in beauty and fashion makeup for Hollywood stars such as Julianne Moore and the work crew of both actors, Matt Damon and George Clooney, will give comprehensive makeup tutorials and tips for the big day. As well as a seminar titled ‘Martial Health Issues’ presented by health educator Eman Al Turki, in cooperation with Health Education Department of Sharjah.
Speaking on the workshops and entertainment, Hanan Al Mahmoud, Director of JRCC, said, “SBF differs from other bridal exhibitions in that its focus is not commercial, but rather provides couples-to-be with motivational talks on how to organise a wedding that fits their budget and build a successful and fruitful marriage. We are very pleased to present a wide range of activities, from seminars to musical performances, so visitors can enjoy planning for their special day. By selecting some of the most talented speakers and performance artists in the region and beyond, we hope to be able to cater to every type of bride and create an exceptionally memorable experience for all those who attend.”
Local social media personalities will also be taking part, and an exciting programme filled with folk and international music, as well as live entertainment, for those looking to win valuable gifts from SBF’s exhibitors.
