There was a convective cloud formation associated with rainfall in the northern part of the country.

Heavy rain hit parts of the UAE on Thursday, bringing respite from the simmering heat in the holy month of Ramadan.

Rainfall was reported in Al Dhaid, Sharjah and other parts of the country.

According to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), there was a convective cloud formation associated with rainfall in the northern part of the country.

There is, however, no possibility of rainfall in other parts of the country, the forecast said.
