The Kingdom will be affected on Monday by a new heatwave, bringing hot conditions across the country and pushing temperatures 4-6 degrees above their seasonal average, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) said.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to hover around 38 degrees Celsius in most areas except in Aqaba, where they will jump to 42 degrees, the JMD added.
Mercury levels will drop at night reaching 23 degrees in the capital and sliding to 32 in Aqaba.
Mercury levels are expected to drop few degrees Tuesday and Wednesday, but similar hot weather will continue with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds at time, the JMD said
