Hot weather

The Kingdom will be hit by a hot air mass, which will send mercury levels up to 8 degrees Celsius above seasonal average, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

According to the JMD, winds will be northwesterly moderate. Meanwhile, the weather will be very hot in the Jordan Valley and the Gulf of Aqaba, as temperatures break the 40 degrees Celsius barrier.

Temperatures in Amman for the coming few days will reach a high of 39 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 23 at night. Maximum and minimum temperatures will hit 34 and 21 in the northern areas; 34 and 25 in the central areas; 36 and 21 in the southern areas; and 41 and 29 in the Gulf of Aqaba.
