The rescue unit in cooperation with Air Wings are still searching for him

Five Indian nationals were rescued from a car that was washed away by wadi flood waters in Khor Fakkan on Friday and rescue personnel are searching for another missing student.

The Eastern Region Police Rescue Unit has confirmed that search for the 18-year-old Indian male student is on in cooperation with the Air Wing of the police .

Sources said the student, identified as Albert Joy, along with his friends, may have stepped out to enjoy a drive in the rains. However, the force of the floods may have resulted in the student losing control of their vehicle, and getting washed way. The aerial search for the student began after ground rescue operations were unsuccessful. He is said to be a student of an engineering college in Ras Al Khaimah and lives with his family.
