Jimmy Fallon's fans are using Facebook and Twitter to campaign for the comedian to be named host of the Oscars ceremony in Hollywood next year. The Los Angeles Times said, however, Fallon is an unlikely choice, despite his popularity, because his late-night chat show airs on NBC and the Oscars show is to be broadcast on ABC, the home of Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk program. Even though Kimmel is serving as host of the Emmy Awards show on ABC this year and wouldn't be able to do the Academy Awards, ABC probably wouldn't want to give the Oscars job to his chief rival, the Times said.
