Economy Minister Luis de Guindos

The Spanish government is "absolutely not contemplating" Greece's exit from the eurozone after Greek voters rejected creditors' austerity demands in a weekend referendum, Economy Minister Luis de Guindos said Monday.

"I absolutely don't contemplate a Greek exit from the euro. We all want Greece to not leave the euro," he told a news conference in Madrid, before adding that Athens must apply European rules regarding deficits and debt levels.
