British foreign secretary Philip Hammond

British foreign secretary Philip Hammond said Monday London wanted a robust nuclear oversight deal with Iran, with full inspections of its facilities an absolute red line for any accord by a June 30 deadline.

"We cannot compromise on the absolute red lines we have. If we do a deal, it has to be verifiable," Hammond said after talks with his Iranian counterpart Mohamed Javad Zarif on the sidelines of an EU foreign ministers meeting in Luxembourg.
