German industrial conglomerate Siemens

German industrial conglomerate Siemens said Friday it would cut some ties to Russia after confirming gas turbines it sold to companies there had been diverted to Ukraine's Russian-annexed Crimea region in breach of sanctions.
The Munich-based giant said it would freeze deliveries of power generation equipment to state-controlled Russian customers, divest its stake in a Russian company that sells power-plant control systems and terminate a licensing agreement for power generation equipment.
