Macedonia's Nikola Poposki

Serbia and Macedonia's foreign ministers called for EU action on Europe's migrant crisis at a summit Thursday of leaders from the western Balkans, attended by Germany's chancellor.

"Unless we have a European answer to this crisis... no one should be under any illusion that this will be solved," Macedonia's Nikola Poposki said, as Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic called for an EU "action plan".

Both countries have become major transit countries for tens of thousands of migrants trying to reach the EU.
