Saoirse Ronan on Sunday took home the Golden Globe for best actress in a musical or comedy for quirky coming-of-age film "Lady Bird."

Ronan bested a field that included three Oscar winners -- Judi Dench ("Victoria & Abdul"), Helen Mirren ("The Leisure Seeker") and Emma Stone ("Battle of the Sexes") -- as well as Margot Robbie ("I, Tonya").
