A "huge" explosion in Pakistan's restive southwestern Balochistan province that apparently targeted a top official's convoy killed at least ten people and wounded "many" others, police and witnesses told AFP Friday.
Police confirmed senate deputy chairman Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri was injured in the blast in Mastung district, east of the provincial capital Quetta. "It is not yet clear whether it was a planted bomb or a suicide attack," police official Safar Khan told AFP as he gave the toll.
