A 24-year-old man was killed and three other people wounded on Thursday on the outskirts of Caracas during an opposition-led nationwide strike in Venezuela, prosecutors said.

The prosecutors' office said an investigation had been opened into violence around a demonstration in the Los Teques neighborhood.

The death raised to 98 the number of fatalities in Venezuela since street protests turned violent in April.
