A 16-year-old died Thursday after being shot in the head at a protest against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, part of a nationwide general strike, prosecutors said.

The victim was shot Wednesday, on the first day of the two-day strike, and died on Thursday, said the prosecutor general's office, bringing the death toll from four months of violent anti-Maduro protests to 108.
