The EU's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier said Thursday that the European Union was ready to speed up divorce talks with Britain.

"Given the passing time, and this passing time worries me, I am ready to accelerate, to intensify the rhythm of talks," Barnier told reporters at a news conference at EU headquarters
