At least 20 people were killed Wednesday in a series of attacks on security forces in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula claimed by Daesh group militants, state media reported.

The official Al-Ahram newspaper reported on its website that at least 20 people had been killed in the ongoing attacks and gun battles. Security officials said earlier that at least 15 soldiers were killed.
