Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka on Friday withdrew plans to resign later this month, insisting instead that Finance Minister Andrej Babis, a popular political rival tipped to win elections later this year whom he suspects of fraud, must go.
"I will not present the resignation of my government. I will soon ask the president of the republic to recall the finance minister," Sobotka told reporters in Prague, deepening a political crisis triggered by his shock resignation earlier this week after a high stakes row with Babis.
