Street clashes erupted on Monday in the US city of Baltimore after the funeral of a black man who died in custody, as protesters pelted police with stones and bottles .

At least one officer was seen being taken away wounded as loose groups of mainly African American protesters faced off against baton-wielding police with shields and wearing riot helmets.
