Britain's Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond entered his country's embassy in Tehran on Sunday prior to its formal reopening four years after protesters stormed it and forced its closure.

An AFP photographer saw Hammond enter the embassy shortly after noon (0730 GMT). He will later hold a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, officials said.
