Brazil's leftist former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva arrived in court Wednesday for his trial on charges that he took a luxury apartment as a bribe.
The case in the southern city of Curitiba, part of a sprawling anti-corruption push, could doom Lula's potential bid to return to power in 2018.
