Lawyers for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange told French television Wednesday that the time had come for European governments to take legal action over US snooping after leaked documents revealing Washington had spied on three French presidents sparked fresh outrage.

Speaking on TF1, the anti-secrecy campaigner urged France to take the lead and launch a parliamentary inquiry into the foreign surveillance activities. He also said other important revelations were coming.
