Syrian singer Asala Nasri revealed that she turned not to visit Lebanon since her arrest in Beirut International Airport, saying that she feels that there is a conspiracy against her. She added that it is not the first time for her to face such a situation, expressing her appreciation to the Lebanese authorities that decided to release her.
She denied the accusations against her of possessing cocaine, saying that she does not know how the material reached to her handbag. She stressed that it is not logic for her to sacrifice her popularity in all over the Arab work for exercising such illegal activity.
She added, in a statement to “Emirates Voice”, that a number of newspapers used the incident to smear her image before the fans, saying that they adopted and created rumors targeting her, saying that most of what was published over the incident was unfounded rumors.
