Cairo – Khalid Ali
Egyptian singer Amr Diab has finally broken his silence and told Arabstoday he is disappointed about Ayman Bahgat Amar and Amr Mostafa's accusations that he is pro-Israeli because he allowed his songs to be sold in Israel. The pair were locked in a battle of words on Facebook. Amr Diab’s publicist posted this message on the social networking website: “Amr Diab has expressed his disappointment about the accusations from his former composers and writers. He said they have insulted his morals and principles, which he considers to be constant throughout his artistic career. He has decided not to work with his former colleagues and does not wish to undermine their talents. But he won't allow these rumours to circulate among the public.”
