Army units on Wednesday carried out several successful operations against the militant groups across the country and inflicted heavy losses upon their members and tools. An army unit destroyed a 67-m long tunnel in al-Jbaileh neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city which the militants were using for smuggling weapons and ammunition, killing all the militants inside it, Syrian Arab News Agency reported. Army kills militants in Daraa An army unit killed all members of a militant group which tried to attack a military checkpoint in Daraa al-Balad and destroyed a car equipped with heavy machinegun. A military source said that units of the armed forces targeted militants’ gatherings in Samlin, al-Na’imeh, Kahil and Um al-Mayazin in Daraa countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon the militants. The source added that the army also killed and wounded all members of a militant group which was perpetrating sniping acts on Samlin-Zimrin roundabout. The army units destroyed 5 cars with all militants inside them on Um al-Aousaj-Jasem road, to the East of al-Harrah village and to the Northwest of Dakouneh in Daraa countryside.
