The Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) announced that the Syrian army killed Saturday over 20 civilians and injured scores others, mostly women and children, in the northeastern Ar-Raqqah Governorate. The SRGC pointed out that fatalities were fallen when the army jetfighters carried out eight airstrikes on the governorate's neighborhoods. Meanwhile, the government forces continued heavy bombardment by aircarft and artillery of opposition-held areas nationwide particularly in the capital Damascus and its countryside, Aleppo and Homs governorates. The opposition Free Syrian Army (FSA) is also involved in ferocious battles with government forces in these governorates. In Aleppo Governorate, the FSA fighters killed four regime army personnel during an attempt to storm Al-Owaija neighborhood, which is controlled by the opposition. The FSA fighters also destroyed an army vehicle in Aleppo countryside Friday night. The government troops allegedly committed a massacre in Al-Nabk town on the outskirts of Damascus and Bazaa town in the northern governorate of Aleppo on Friday where over 40 civilians lost their lives.
