The Syrian army continued the air attacks on the central city of Aleppo on Tuesday and dropped over 25 powder kegs on various parts of it. The attacks focused on the districts of Al-Sakhor, Al-Haidariya, Masaken Hanano and Karm Al-Tarrab as well as 'Madrast Al-Moshah' (the infantry school), claiming at least 50 civilian lives and wounding scores of others, according to a statement by the Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC). In a night update, the SRGC reported that the fatalities include 30 people who died as a result of air attacks on a marketplace in Al-Sakhor and 12 in Al-Haidariya. Meanwhile, the raging fighting between the regular troops and the opposition Free Syrian Army, continued at such areas as Garage Al-Hajar Crossroads, Hotheifa Bin Al-Yaman Mosque, and Bostan Al-Qasr neighborhood in the city, with both sides using heavy weapons. A huge explosion rocked Manbij town, to the northeast of Aleppo, a stronghold of the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL), the statement added without elaborating on the nature or casualties of the blast.
