At least six people were killed and 10 others wounded when a booby-trapped car went off Sunday evening in a southern suburb of the Syrian capital Damascus, the pro-government Sham FM radio reported. The blast\'s exact location couldn\'t be determined but the car bomb went off in the southern suburb of Kisweh, according to the report. Similar explosions used to target military checkpoints and the government always blames al-Qaida-linked Nusra Front of being behind them. The blast came as the Syrian army was making strides in battling the western-backed rebels, particularly in the central city of al-Qussair where at least 50 rebels were killed on Sunday alone. Syria\'s 26-month-old crisis has claimed the lives of more than 70,000 people and displaced millions of others, according to UN tallies.
