At least 11 civilians, including a woman, were killed and 50 others injured in air raids launched by the Syrian regime forces in Irbin city in Rif Dimashq, a monitoring group said.
The death toll is expected to rise due to several critical injuries, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said in a statement on Sunday.
Meanwhile, at least five militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) were killed when their vehicle was targeted by the regime's forces in Al-Hasaka governorate in northeastern Syria, SOHR said.
The governorate has been witnessing clashes between the two sides for some weeks, SOHR noted.
In a related development, some news websites loyal to the regime reported that Katyusha rockets injured a number of citizens in some areas in Damascus.
