Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury told Arabstoday that "he is proud of his Lebanese army uniform" which he wore 8 years ago when he was doing his compulsory military service, and applied for military training. He remained in the army for a year, adding that the experience of performing his national duty played a part in him accepting a role in the Operetta “Hekaiet Jaish” (Story of an Army) which is written by the poet Nizar Francis, and composed by Samir Sfeir. Music distribution is by Dani Helw, and the video was filmed under the supervision of director Walied Nassif. The singer added that he believed his stint in national service helped his performance, and that he was proud to have served his country together with his fellow soldiers.
