Yemeni singer Arwa recently joined the music production company ‘Rotana’ and is currently preparing to release a new song in the Gulf dialect titled “Ya Marhaba” (Hello). The song is written by poet Mis’ab Al Unayzi, composed by Abdullah Salem and musically distributed by Ahmad Farhat. Arwa filmed a music video for the song under the direction of Lebanese director Sam Kayal, whom the singer had worked with in the past. Filming of the clip lasted for two days in different locations in Lebanon. According to the London based Elaph, director of the clip announced that the idea revolves around wedding ceremonies, but is tackled in a manner different from any other presented in the past. The director said that Arwa may be the bride in the clip or not, or she may be one of the guest, not wanting to go into details to keep it a surprise to her fans. Arwa stated that she had insisted on releasing a song in the Gulf dialect, and she is currently working on her upcoming album which will feature a collection of different dialects.
