Four soldiers were killed when a roadside bomb went off south of Mosul on Monday morning. A police source in Nineveh stated that the bomb targeted an army patrol in the Hammam al-Alil south of Mosul, killing four soldiers. In another accident, unidentified gunmen assassinated a contractor on Monday morning east of Mosul. A police source said that unidentified gunmen opened fire on the contractor when he was in one of the shops in eastern Mosul, killing him at once. Meanwhile, three civilians were killed and four others were injured in an armed attack in Kirkuk late last night. A security source said that gunmen opened fire at a gathering in front of a markets in Nasir district east of Kirkuk, killing three civilians, and wounding four others, and then fled the scene.
