The second leader of the terrorist group of Daesh has been killed in the western province of Anbar, said the Iraqi joint operation command on Saturday.
The man is identified as Ibrahim al Samaray and ranked as the second-in-command of the group.
He was killed in a shelling in Barwanah town, said the operations command.
The Iraqi army is advancing now to liberate the parts of the province which was taken over by Daesh in a snap attack in 2014. The captial, Ramadi, has been recently liberated, in a strong blow to the group.
