One of the main Iraqi "Sahwa" (awakening) leaders, Sheikh Mohammad Khamis Abu Risha, was killed in Anbar province, alongside an Iraqi officer and five others, in a double suicide attack southwest of Ramadi on Tuesday.
The attack targeted Sahwa convoy and was followed by clashes between Sahwa men and Iraqi security forces.
A security source told KUNA that a suicide bomber drove a vehicle loaded with explosives, which targeted a convoy of Sahwa in Sabaa Kilo area, southwest of Ramadi.
After the initial explosion, another suicide bomber targeted Abu Risha vehicle, killing him instantly.

The attack also resulted in the injury of eight Sahwa personnel and four soldiers accompanying the convoy.
