Iraqi war jets bombed on Wednesday an outpost of Daesh militant group in Al Anbar province, killing a number of militants, said the Iraqi Joint Operations Command.
The bombing took place while a number of the group leaders were having a meeting inside the outpost located in northern Ramadi, the capital of Al Anbar.
Key leaders of the militant group were killed in the attack.
On July 13, Iraqi forces announced the start of a military operation to liberate Al Anbar from Daesh militant group.
Iraqi forces have been airdropping leaflets since Sunday warning residents to get out before they launch an operation to recapture Ramadi.
The Iraqi Armed forces managed to open safe exit routes in Ramadi to get civilians out of the city and ban Daesh from taking them as human shields.
The retake of Ramadi will be a major step in the Anbar liberation operation.
