At least nine persons were killed and injured in mortar shelling on Falloujah city in Anbar governorate, situated some 110 kilometers west of Baghdad, according to a medical source. The source said Falloujah hospital received two dead and seven injured after the shelling which hit several areas in the city. Falloujah neighborhood and other areas in Anbar governorate have recently been hit by a wave of violence and bloody attacks which claim scores of casualties. A large-scale military operation has been launched in Anbar governorate with the involvement of various security forces to hunt down the so-called elements of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant or better known as Daash group
