A total of 57,136 displaced families have returned back to their homes in Al Anbar after its liberation from the terrorist group of Daesh, the Iraqi Displacement and Migration Ministry said.
The ministry’s branch in Anbar announced today the return of 40,552 displaced families to Ramadi district, 7,102 to Heet district, 3,700 to Karma district, 1,535 to Ar-Rutbah district, 2,893 to Al Khalidiya district, 1,204 to Haditha district and 150 to Fallujah, said branch director Mohamed Rashid.
The ministry will provide urgent assistance to the returning families, he noted.
He added that the ministry had offered 3,984 rations of emergency relief materials to displaced families in Tikrit of Saladin governorate, and returning families in Khanaqin of Diyala governorate and in Al Hauesh of Samarra.
