Spokesman for the Libyan House of Representatives Abdallah Bilhig said Libyan Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh is safe and sound after Tuesday's road accident.
In a statement on Wednesday, Bilhig said the accident occurred Tuesday when some guarding cars of Saleh's motorcade crashed in al-Qubbah town.
The accident resulted in killing one of Saleh's guards, he added.
