A hand grenade blast Monday killed one person and injured 15 others in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, police said.
Speaking to Dawn newspaper, Quetta Capital City Police Officer Razaq Cheema said armed militants hurled a hand grenade at a hotel in Prince Road area of Quetta.
“The hand grenade exploded with a big bang inside the hotel,” he said. Subsequently, one person was killed and 15 others were injured in and outside the hotel.
The assailants escaped unhurt from the spot, he said.
