Four militants - belonging to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and sentenced to death by military courts - were executed in the prison, Pakistani media reported.
The hanged men were involved in committing heinous crimes, including killing civilians, attacking a mosque, destroying communications infrastructure and attacking personnel of law enforcement agencies and the armed forces, according to the army's public relations wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In a statement the ISPR said the four men confessed to having committed the crimes they were charged with before a magistrate and the trial court, Pakistani Dawn news reported.
