Dense fog wreaked havoc on Sunday in several cities of Pakistan, including Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Multan, and Muzzafargarh, with at least five killed in a road accident and 20 others injured in other incidents, Geo News reported.
Flight operations were halted owing to low visibility at several airports including Islamabad, Peshawar and Multan.
A trailer collided with two motorcycles due to low visibility near Muzzafargarh, killing five people, rescue workers said. The motorcycle-riders were travelling from Multan to Dera Ghazi Khan when the accident took place near Noor Kabra on DG Khan Road.
The dead also included two children and a woman. Police reached the location, taking the driver of the trailer into custody and launching an investigation.
