A child was killed and at least nine others wounded in a car blast in Pakistan's southwestern Balochiatan province on Sunday, said officials.
Police officials told media that the blast in Chaman district of Balochistan killed an eight-year-old child who was passing by. The miscreants planted a bomb inside a car parked on Taj Road Chaman that destroyed two more vehicles and smashed the glasses of nearby shops and homes.
The security forces cordoned off the area and a probe into the incident went underway. The injured were rushed to nearby district headquarter hospital for medical treatment.
Taj Road is the commercial hub of Chaman and is one of the two main crossing points for supplies for US/NATO troops in Afghanistan.
Balochistan is facing militants' insurgency for over a decade and miscreants have attacked security forces and national installations several times in the area.
