England boss Fabio Capello last night blasted the FA for sacking race rap John Terry as skipper. He said: "The FA's decision does not find me in agreement. Absolutely not. "I retained and I retain the belief that John Terry could have kept the captain's armband." Capello took a swipe at FA chief David Bernstein. He said: "I spoke with the chairman and I told him I don't think someone can be punished until it becomes official. "It is going to be civil justice, not sports justice, to decide if John Terry committed that crime." Furious Capello made his astonishing comments in an Italian TV interview yesterday. He is returning to England this week and plans showdown talks with Bernstein. There have been no suggestions so far that the Italian may quit over the issue. But he could consider his position if the row escalates further. The FA stripped Chelsea skipper Terry of the England armband on Friday until after his trial for allegedly racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand. They made the move when his court date was set for July 9 — which is after Euro 2012. They had hoped it would be over before the Euros and that the outcome would make the decision easy for them one way or the other. The Sun revealed on Saturday that Capello contacted Terry to offer his full support and told him he wants him in his squad for the Euros. Liverpool's Steven Gerrard could take over as captain. The manager's stance last night was in marked contrast to his actions in 2010 when he personally stripped Terry of the captaincy over allegations of an affair with team-mate Wayne Bridge's ex.
