Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, 68, has become a father again after his 37-year-old wife gave birth to twin girls, his publicist said Tuesday.
“Ronnie and Sally Wood are delighted to announce the birth of their twins Gracie Jane and Alice Rose,” a statement said.
“The girls arrived on May 30 at 10:30 p.m. and all are doing brilliantly. The babies are perfect.”
The twins’ arrival came two days before Wood’s 69th birthday on Wednesday.
Wood already has four children: Jesse Wood, with his first wife, former model Krissy Wood; daughter Leah and son Tyrone from his second marriage with Jo Wood; and Jamie, Jo’s son from a previous marriage whom Wood adopted.
He has nine grand-children.
Wood and his wife, who owns a theater production company, dated for six months before getting married in 2012. Rocker Rod Stewart served as Wood’s best man.
Wood, who joined the Stones in 1975, is the youngest member of the iconic four-piece British rock band.
The group toured Latin America in February and March, playing huge stadium shows, culminating in a groundbreaking free concert in Cuba.
Their first studio album since 2005 is in the pipeline.
An exhibition offering an interactive trip through the life of the band is running at the Saatchi Gallery in London until Sept. 4.
