Taylor Swift has made good on her promise to donate the proceeds from her song, "Welcome to New York," to New York City Public Schools.
A New York City Department of Education official confirmed Tuesday to Capitall New York that Swift had already donated $50,000, "without restrictions," to city schools.
But the school system should expect to receive more than $50,000.
"This is not a one-time donation," Swift's publicist told The New York Times. "Taylor will continue to donate the proceeds she receives from the sale of the single, 'Welcome to New York,' to NYC public schools."
Swift, 25, has made no secret of her love for the Big Apple since she moved there last year.
"I love it here," the "Shake It Off" singer told the hosts of The View last October.
"I love it so much ... I don't think I told anybody this before, but the fans were wonderful enough to make [the song] No. 1 on iTunes. It's selling really well -- which is good, because I'm donating all of my proceeds to New York City public schools," she said.
